We Are Continuing Gebze-Izmir Motorway Project with STFA
The Japanese IHI and ITOCHU consortium to build Izmit Bay Crossing Bridge within the scope of Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Motorway which shall be be constructed by Otoyol A.S and is the biggest motorway project of Turkey, have agreed with Turkish contractors STFA to construct 2 tower foundation and anchorage structures regarding the fourth longest suspension bridge in the world with central span of 1.7 kilometers. The contract value of the project to be constructed by STFA Construction which is one of the largest contracting companies in Turkey is approximately $256 million.
As Prefabrik Yapi A.S. we continue our work within the scope of this project which has started with Otoyol A.S. and NÖMAYG, with STFA. There are workers’ dormitories, dining halls, worker-engineer clubhouses among South Site prefabricated buildings built in the first phase within the scope of the project. All of our buildings project designed in two-storeys were applied with Hekim Sandwich Panel details. Its exterior is detailed with steel sheet, insulation material with Hekimpor brand EPS and all of the interior surface siding with Hekimboard brand A-1 class incombustible fiber cement material. Total area of use is approximately 2.150 m2. The assembly realized with the assembly teams in our organization was concluded in the minimum amount of time and putting the buildings into service was achieved with success. The production and assembling of new buildings are continuing within the scope of the progressing project.
