Technical visit to Factory with Industrial Design Students from Haliç University

Junior and Senior students of Department of Architecture, Industrial Design Department of Haliç University have been hosted in the Production facilities of Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş.

The students has found a chance to closely see the container manufacturing facilities situated in Şekerpınar during the factory technical tour organized in November 2009.

After the general overview about Hekim Holding provided by the Assistant General Manager architect Özlem Oğuzoğlu, the factory manager İbrahim Ertaş has conducted the factory visit.

In the production facilities where weldless connection technology is employed, during the technical tour actualized together with the instructors, in addition to the standard accommodation containers the outside of which is cladded with trapezoidal metal sheet, boutique container applications where fibercement cladding material is employed were also watched with great attention Detailed information was provided, in relation with the fibercement material produced by Hekim Yapı, of Hekim Holding corporations, and application examples were demonstrated.

The students who witnessed the conversion of galvanized steel sheet into container for their projects, which they will develop by starting out of container within the semester, has expressed that they were very impressed by the production stages, and that the process made serious contributions to them.
